The fifth batch of Tomatin 30-year-old since its triumphant return to the massively underrated Highland distillery's core range in 2018.
As before, Tomatin 30-year-old Batch 5 is a small batch limited edition matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and traditional oak casks, the latter generally meaning third or fourth refill casks, which are perfect for long-aged whiskies, as they allow the distillery character to retain its voice without letting the oak dominate too much. Bottled at 46% without colouring or chill filtration, this 30-year-old Tomatin will be a belter.
