Tamdhu 2012-2021 | 8 Year Old | Provenance Single Cask DL14665
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
Tamdhu is an unsung Speyside distillery, but if you're after a high quality, uncomplicated, nutty, spicy young Speyside single malt whisky you won't find much better value than this.
This is a 2012 Tamdhu, matured in a refill butt and bottled as an 8-year-old in 2021 by Douglas Laing for their Provenance range at a good drinking strength of 46%. As always with Douglas Laing, there's no artificial colour or chill filtration, so this should be a very good drinking whisky.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Attractively crisp, clean and gristy, warming to archetypal Speyside nuts and toffee.
Palate: As clean as anticipated with a later array of ginger, spices and the juiciest of barley.
Finish: Those spices are now drier, cough drop style, with later hints of the nutty toffee.
