This Berry Bros & Rudd 9-year-old Staoisha 2013 Cask 10520 comes with a reputation as something of a peat monster and was bottled without colouring or chill filtration for Berry's 2022 Summer releases from a single hogshead cask that yielded 308 bottles at a robust cask strength of 56.7%.

Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Nose: Peat is the order of the day here. Powerful aromas of peat smoke, new leather cedar, smoked haddock and coastal breeze present themselves immediately, though a little time shows a nice backbone of vanilla running through.
Palate: The palate is similarly dominated by peat smoke, wool jumpers, charcoal and ash, all held together by a pleasingly sweet oak character and a burst of lemon zest.
Finish: The finish shows more peat smoke, hints of digestive biscuit and a little drop of coconut.
Jonny McMillan Says
“Peatier than Granny McPeat waist deep in a peat bog during the Annual Islay Peat Wrestling Championship.”
