We are pleased to introduce the second-edition Old Perth PX limited-edition. Following the success of the first-edition Old Perth PX—voted 'Best Blended Malt' at the Scottish Whisky Awards 2023—this new expression offers a rich and indulgent addition to the sherry-focused range, celebrating the depth of Pedro Ximénez cask maturation.
Old Perth Pedro Ximenez 2.0 brings together five different Speyside distillates, featuring the same Solera liquid that underpins the Old Perth Original, Cask Strength, and Double Wood.
The focus for PX 2.0 is on larger, more robust spirit styles, including worm tub distillates, specifically selected to stand up to the intensity of full-term maturation in 100% first-fill European oak PX casks.
Using a combination of four butts and two hogsheads, the whisky was vatted and left to rest for one month prior to bottling, allowing the rich, bold character to fully integrate.
