North Port 1981-2007 | 26 Year Old | Duncan Taylor Rarest Of The Rare | Single Cask 775
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled By: Duncan Taylor 70cl / 52.9%
A 1981 North Port 26-year-old bottled in 2007 without colouring or chill filtration by Duncan Taylor for their Rarest of the Rare range.
This 26-year-old North Port 1981 came from a single sherry cask number 775 that turned out a generous 523 bottles at a very approachable cask strength of 52.9%. North Port distillery (sometimes also known as Brechin) was one of the more obscure casualties of the great whisky lake crisis, closing in 1983, and at the time of writing (2023) there have been no new North Port or Brechin bottlings since 2018, so sadly it seems that the remaining stocks from this proudly old-school Highland distillery may finally have been exhausted.
