This is a very typical example of Laphroaig from the 1960s, full-on tropical fruit with big diesel oil smokiness, bonfires, soft medicine, loads of coastal complexity and a wonderfully resinous old-style peat quality. A stunning and very extinct style of whisky, one to be tried before they all disappear forever.
