A single cask Highland Park 2008 13-year-old Island single malt whisky released in 2021 by independent bottlers Duncan Taylor for their Octave Cask series. At the time there weren't too many indie Highland Parks around, and as Duncan Taylor's Octave casks are by definition extremely small there's only 59 bottles of this one.
This 2008 vintage Highland Park 13-year-old started life in a bourbon cask before a seven month brief encounter in the sherry octave which, judging by the colour, managed to pack in quite a lot of meaningful influence in its allotted span. Duncan Taylor bottled this 13-year-old Highland Park 2008 at its natural cask strength of 55.2%.
