The 2021 Classic Malts Distillers Edition Glenkinchie is from the 2009 vintage and has been the beneficiary of a secondary maturation in Amontillado sherry casks, adding delightful nuttiness to Glenkinchie's easy-drinking Lowland style whisky.

Amontillado itself, by the way, is a particularly delicious sherry but is criminally overlooked due to sherry's terminal unfashionability. If you ever encounter one, buy it, chill it gently and pair with roast chicken or pork, or just a plate of almonds.
