This is the second batch of the Octaves series released by the lovely Highland distillery situated at the east end of Sandend Bay in Portsoy.

The Octaves Classic Batch 2 has been aged in Octaves resized from ex-bourbon, PX and amontillado sherry and port casks giving the whisky a much sweeter/sherry style to that of the first batch.

These octave casks typically hold about 65 litres of whisky and this enables the spirit inside to mature quicker due to greater interaction between the wood and the spirit.
