The 11th batch of the much-loved Glendronach Cask Strength is one of the first and most welcome arrivals of 2023, and no doubt there'll be plenty of eager sherryheads just waiting to snap it up.
As before, the whisky in this Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 11 has been matured entirely in sherry casks - specifically Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks, of course - and has been bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its natural cask strength, which in this instance came out at an extremely potent 59.8%. A no-brainer.

Appearance: Deep bronze.
Nose: Mulled cranberry, orange and clove liqueur meld with dark honeyed treacle on a base of nutty oak.
Palate: Richly spiced bramble wine and treacle toffee interweave with chocolate raisin, cinnamon maple and sultana.
Finish: Lingering Seville orange peel and nutmeg layered with caramel and maraschino cherry.
