This 43-year-old Glendronach 1971 was one of 523 bottles yielded from single cask 2920, which was a Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon cask with a natural cask strength of 48.6%. These early 1970s Glendronachs were noticeably peatier, and after all these years in a brilliant PX sherry puncheon that's a recipe for some seriously divine whisky. Expect a huge, earthy, oily, phenolic and fruity dram filled with wood spice, dark chocolate, balsamico and elegant notes of natural tar. A beautiful single cask whisky from Glendronach.
