The cask recipe for this Glenallachie 30-year-old Batch 3 included both Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez hogsheads, balanced with a handful of virgin oak casks. Glenallachie 30-year-old Batch 3 is a limited edition of just 2400 bottles worldwide and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 48.9%, coincidentally exactly the same strength as Batch 1.

Nose: Bursting with roasted almonds, honey and orchard fruits, with hints of worn leather and butterscotch, followed by orange zest and dark chocolate.
Palate: Lashings of grape must, hazelnut and honeycomb, followed by citrus fruits, toffee brittle and hints of ginger spice, with cinnamon and mocha on the finish.
