The ninth batch of Glenallachie's 10-year-old Cask Strength, this appeared in Spring 2023 and is a limited edition bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its hefty natural cask strength of 58.1%.
Glenallachie 10-year-old Cask Strength Batch 9, like its predecessors, was matured mostly in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks with a judicious sprinkling of Rioja and virgin oak casks for balance and complexity.
Glenallachie has found a new golden age under Billy Walker and this will no doubt once again be one of the best value full strength Speyside whiskies around.

Colour: Intense Mahogany.
Nose: Bursting with ripe red berries, hazelnuts and heather honey, with hints of orchard fruits, cinnamon spice and gingersnaps.
Palate: Lashings of dark chocolate, honeycomb and caramelised demerara sugar, followed by notes of treacle, mocha and ginger, with plum and toffee on the finish.
