The previous 12-year-old sherry wood was that popular they had to discontinue it due to a shortage of sherry casks. Now, after a 3-year absence, it's back and more "sherried" than what it was previously.
This expression is now fully matured in sherry casks with some finishing in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks that give a lovely fruit-laden and oak spice flavour and a whisky that is very well balanced.
This smooth single malt has an elegant full taste and aroma that captures fruity floral, oak-wood notes, with fascinating overtones of honey, vanilla and spice.
