Machrie Moor is the name given to the peated single malt whisky produced on the Isle of Arran. Until recently there was only one active distillery on Islay - originally known as Isle of Arran, but recently rechristened as Lochranza.

Arran / Lochranza's sister distillery Lagg has recently taken over production of all the island's peated single malt whisky, so it's reasonable to assume that in time Machrie Moor will change from being Peated Loachranza malt to Peated Lagg malt, but in the meantime here's the latest edition of this classic smoky island dram.

Nose: Light smoke and citrus.

Palate: Dried grass, peat smoke and hints of vanilla and tropical fruit.

Finish: Citrus, Smoke, Peat, Pineapple.
